100 Years of Art in Lubbock - Fri., May 2

There will be an exhibit of 100 Years of Lubbock Art beginning on Friday, May 2 and ending on Thurs., July 17. The Exhibit will be open from 9 a.m - 5 p.m., Monday - Saturday, at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, 511 Ave K.

Cowboy Cotton Ball- Fri., June 13

The Lubbock Centennial Cowboy Cotton Ball presented by American State Bank is slated for June 13 at the Memorial Civic Center begining at 7:30 pm.  Famed country and western swing band Asleep at the Wheel will provide entertainment at the event.  More that 3,000 free tickets will be made available to the public by American State Bank, event underwriter.  A Centennial saddle made by inmates of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice- Ferguson unit will be auctioned off to the highest bidder during the evening.
